The way to come in contact with the living God is to go into one’s centre and from there pass into God. The power of repeating this title over and over again until your temptations depart is an incredible comfort for the spiritually tormented.
There is power in the name of Jesus all of heaven and earth bow to his Name. When we proclaim in faith Jesus as Son of the living God the spiritual world of demons and evil spirits are silenced. The powers of darkness operates through our thoughts and feelings and their incessant thoughts or temptations torment us to turn away from God ways.
In the early stages of overcoming temptation we will need to repeatedly pray this title as a mantra for hours. It’s not because Jesus doesn’t hear you the first time its due to our inability to trust God to do something. Your previous experiences tells you that Jesus hasn’t helped you before when you have been under spiritual duress.
Each time you pray the title your trust begins to grow in the power of Jesus’s name and the multitude of spirits begin to decrease.
The evil spirits also know about your doubts and it literally becomes a war of words. You proclaiming Jesus name and the spirits of darkness harassing or tormenting you.
God blesses us as we co-operate with his grace and he offers to us his grace through his name. Being spiritually harassed or tempted indicates our spirit is in need of healing. After the temptations have cease consider inviting Jesus into the story of your life for inner healing

The Power of the Name Jesus Son of the Living God will set you free. His Name delivers us from the temptations of sin and we can begin to pray this way when or wherever we are being tempted by the world, the flesh or the devil. Through this way of praying we come to know and experience the power of Jesus setting us free from sinful thoughts, desires or temptations.
Prayer is not a magic formula; it requires faith and a belief in the power of Jesus as the Son of God. We receive the gift of faith at Baptism and the events in our lives plus the effects of sin can weaken our belief in Jesus’ power. The angel Gabriel told Mary to name her Child Jesus. And to Joseph, the angel explained “He will save His people from their sins” (Mat 1:21). We honour the Name of Jesus because “There is no salvation through anyone else, nor is there any other name under heaven given to the human race by which we are to be saved” (Acts 4:12).
